I have installed Vista in a clean G: partition. The installation process completes including a successful reboot half-way through. However, after the installation, there is the final reboot. This has a problem in restarting the PC - so I manually power-cycled.
On powering up, the boot process halts with an error 0xc000000e in \windows\system32\winload.exe
At this points, the system takes me back to XPSP2 on my C: drive and I can continue. I'm so close - can anyone help me achieve that first full load? Thanks Ian

Vista installs completely but won't load

Checking on the Microsoft Vista support website, I find that Geoff Coupe asked this same question on 24 May with subject "Winload.exe Corrupt?". The problem is dealt with by several replies, all of which I am about to try.
Ian
So, you get it working? I gave Geoff that info on how to fix it ;) But not everyone seems to be searching for any topics on winload.exe...so they keep making new ones. haha
